"My painting practice centers on color as a living force. Working in oil, I respond intuitively to light, shadow, and emotion—allowing color to shape the relationships and atmosphere within each piece. I often begin with charcoal studies, moving into pastel and finally paint. Through a process of layering, adding, and subtracting, I build luminosity and depth, pushing and pulling the image until it feels alive. A mark is an extension of my arm, a gesture recording momentum and intent. I aim to create spaces that hold presence—filled with energy, quiet joy, and complexity. Gravitating toward large-scale formats, I immerse viewers in enveloping hues that extend beyond the frame. In this shared exchange, each painting is an invitation to pause, look closely, and experience the moment."
